This thesis project, Sweekruthi – Centre for Transgender Empowerment, was a journey rooted in deep empathy and active listening. Through rigorous user research, site analysis and contextual understanding, the project aimed to create a safe, inclusive and empowering space for the transgender community in Tamil Nadu. It taught me the value of designing with purpose and reinforced how user research is not just a process but the foundation for meaningful design.
